Chicken and Bacon Salad

People often associate having salads as part of lunch or a light snack before dinner. However, this salad will leave you wanting more even though you're likely to be full. Plus, it's fully customisable so you can add more vegetables or swap the meats.


This meal demonstrates how important prep is to your meal. The main focus on this dish is centred around the preparation of the vegetables, not so much on the toppings of your salad.


Chicken and Bacon Salad

Step 1

In a pan, lightly fry your bacons lardons. Once the lardons have been cooked, add your chicken pieces until they start to turn a golden colour.


Step 2

With care, slice or dice your peppers, shred your lettuce and slice your tomatoes and then start building your salad. You can add any kind of vegetables to your salad - cucumber, onion, sweetcorn, olives or even avocado.


Step 3

Once your salad is built, add the cooked lardons and chicken pieces. Then add your dressing sauce and some crispy onions.
