Pasta can be cooked in the slow cooker and this recipe proves it. Bursting with flavour, you'll be drawn to the kitchen as the smell drifts through your apartment. This dish is definetley worth the wait and it makes for a great lunch to.
This is a fantastic recipe and once again, the slow cooker does all the hard work so you don't have to.
Creamy Chicken, Chorizo and Pesto Pasta
Step 1
Turn your slow cooker on and set it to high. Add your diced chicken breast, chorizo, pesto, crushed garlic cloves, a handful of sundried tomatoes, season with basil and the 150ml of chicken stock. Give the mixture a good stir. Put the lid on and leave the slow cooker on high for two and a half hours.
Step 2
After two and a half hours, add your penne pasta and 500ml of chicken stock and give the mixture a good mix.
Leave the mixture for 45 minutes with the lid on.
Step 3
Once 45 minutes has passed, add your cream and spinach and stir until combined. Serve on clean bowls.
